How best to use "Infrequent Site Stories"?

I noticed the new feature “Infrequent Site Stories”. Can anyone shed some light on the purpose of this section so I can use it to my advantage? Thanks

I’ve had this in the beta for several weeks.
Please allow us to disable or hide it. I keep hitting it instead of all stories.

I generally read ALL my stories daily, so this is utterly pointless for me.
