Home page JS Errors, because I'm stuck with IE8

I recieve three JavaScript errors on the home page that seems to prevent the page from completely loading. I’m using IE8 on a locked down government computer so I have not other browser options.

Error-1: Line: 46
Error: Object doesn’t support this property or method
Believe this error happens in the common.js

The following happen in the index
Error-2: Line: 1031
Error: ‘_’ is undefined

Error-3:Line: 1039
Error: Object expected

Help me NewsBlur, you’re my only hope!

Yeah, you’re gonna wanna switch to NetVibes, which is the only Reader alternative I’ve found so far that supports IE8.
