For sometime, maybe week or so, HN Full Text Rss stopped working.

I cannot get NewsBlur url because it now opens “Fix a misbehaving site” page.
This site has around 5200 subscribers, so it’s affecting alot NBers
HN seems to be https now, so maybe that’s a problem
Is there some workaround?

It looks like the problem is with fulltextrssfeed.com not Newsblur. You can subscribe to news.ycombinator.com/rss and still get updates in Newsblur.

If fulltextrssfeed.com doesn’t come back from the dead, would a full text option be possible within Newsblur? Being able to add a feed and hit a “as published” or “full text” radio button would be fantastic.

And the W3C validator says it is a valid RSS feed: http://validator.w3.org/feed/check.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Fmorss.it%2Fhttps%3A%2F%2Fnews.ycombinator.com%2Frss
However when I try to add the feed into NewsBlur I get the error “This address does not point to an RSS feed or a website with an RSS feed.”

Same problem with morss.it. This is becoming more urgent with the most unfortunate closure of Yahoo Pipes! Some of my pipes are to get the full text of summary feeds and it is likely a common usage.

A solution would be for Samuel to install http://fivefilters.org/content-only/ and integrate it with Newsblur. The more I’m using it, the more I’m liking it.
I’ve had good success using the feed generator at http://hnapp.com/ (which allows for sweet filtering by vote/comment counts) and then just using the “text” mode in NewsBlur, which gets the full text 99% of the time.
