Folder RSS Feed - Sync Delay?

Hello. I set up an RSS feed yesterday looking for “Focus Only” articlies from a specific folder. I’m noticing a focus artile will show up in the origninal folder, but not the “Focus Only” feed I set up yesterday. However, when I “Insta-fetch stories” on the “Focus Only” RSS feed, the “Focus Only” RSS feed updates. Is there or what is the sync delay when a setting up a “Focus Only” RSS feed? Thanks.

Well I’ll be, I just implemented caching for folder RSS feeds. Let me see if it needs to be cleared …

It’s a 60 second cache, so while it’s there, you shouldn’t notice it beyond that minute. Does that fix the issue or are you seeing caching beyond that?

I’m new to this feature, but I noticed it was way more than a minute. I had to insta-fetch to get it to sync. I’ll keep an eye on the sync status and see if I notice another delay. Thank you.

A focus article arrived a several minutes ago but the folder “Focus Only” hasn’t updated. Thanks

Oh wait, we’re talking about different things. I was talking about the premium archive only feature for Folder RSS feeds, which is a raw rss feed for a folder where you can select focus only.

I don’t understand your screenshot. What are you expecting to see? There is no caching anywhere else.

I think we are talking about the same thing…my screenshot wasn’t clear. I have folders which have several feeds but I only look at the “Focus” flagged artices. I right click on one of those folders and go to “Folder Settings” where I grab the feed for “Focus Only” where I place that feed in it’s own folder so it only shows the “Focus Feeds” from the larger collective folder. My question was around the delay from when I see a “Focus” article appear in the collective folder to when it show up in the “Focus Only” RSS feed. They don’t appear to update at the same time…the “Focus Only” RSS feed updates at a slower rate than when it shows up in the default collective folder. Does that help? Thank you.

The RSS feed and what you see on newsblur.com should be identical save for up to a 60s cache that caches after the first hit. So if you visit the RSS feed manually, then it should be instantly up to date.
