Feed view shows only a subset of unread items; need to reopen feed multiple times to see all

When I open a feed from the sidebar, it displays fewer items than the unread count indicates. The items shown aren’t just the most recent — they appear to be a random subset spread across the full unread range.

To see the rest, I have to click the feed again, which loads a different subset (again, not all remaining items). I usually need to reopen the same feed 2–3 times before all unread items have appeared and the feed actually empties.

Example: feed shows 30 unread. I open it and see ~10 items scattered across the timeframe. I read them until there’s nothing in the feed, click the feed again — another ~10 different items appear. Click again — the remaining ones show up.

Is this a known issue? Is there a setting I’m missing (loading limit, filter, view mode)?

I have also observed this.

This has been an issue for me, as well.

Whew, I found the bug. This was a regression I introduced in March while cleaning up NewsBlur’s feed loading code to make the many feed queries faster. That worked, but it caused unread pagination to depend on a changing set of unread stories. As items were marked read, the page boundary could shift, which made some unread stories get skipped until you reopened the feed.

I fixed this for both individual feeds and folders. Sorry about that, and thanks for the clear report.
