Feed Fetching ~1/15th as Often As Expected, Dropping Read Stories

I have a feed (ID 6067031) that only seems to fetch new stories about once every ~25 hours despite the statistics page saying it should be every 1.5 - 2 hours.  From the log on the settings page:

Additionally, the feed doesn’t seem to be storing any old/read stories.  Some time (12h - 3 days?) after reading a story, it disappears unless saved.  With the unread filter set to show all, I see only unreads, stories I at one point saved, and stories I somewhat recently read.

I’ve avoided doing any insta-fetches for a while, if that helps debugging.

also noting that when I load the stats, it says “[UNDEFINED] SUBSCRIBERS”

Thanks for reporting this. I found the bug causing this (and a whole bucket of other similar) errors. The fix has been deployed and will take about a day to propagate to all feeds. You should see the feed update counter move from 5MM per day to somewhere around 6MM, I hope.

Oh, I also found and deployed a fix for the “undefined” subscriber counts when you aren’t subscribed to a feed but load it temporarily. I just never bothered to fix it after I broke it a year ago.

Sweet!  Figured if we eventually caught one in the wild it would make things at least a bit easier.
