Default settings are ignored as well, for good measure.
Specifically I prefer to read my feeds as Unread Only and Oldest First; however I find myself resetting these settings multiple times a day on the mobile (android) app.
It’s frustrating.

These should really not be resetting, ever. Did this just start happening? Are you on the latest beta 3?
Have you tried wiping all app data to see if it still happens from a fresh install?
I use unread only/oldest first and haven’t noticed anything. But I’ll double check.
Are you logging out and logging back in? That is the only time we ever clear preferences.
i’m on the latest offered in the Play store, and after clearing data it seems to be working fine.
That said, while i’m not logging out and back in, it does seem very odd that this would cause preferences to be cleared. Security being what it is these days, it’s not uncommon for users to log out for any number of reasons – not sure a settings clear makes sense there?
I believe the rationale is that when you log out, you expect information about your account to be cleared. If someone else logged in after you and saw that certain feeds had non-default presets, they would know what you were subscribed to.
I can envision a system that persists preferences in a way that they only apply to a given logged-in user, but it would not be trivial/cheap.
