Feature request:tagging based on arbirty filters

Request: be able to write regexes(or similar functions) to apply tags to an item. Similar to how email tagging is handled in tunderbird

This would allow us to balcklist stories containing certain words, or with them in the header, for example, or strip out listicles by mathing stories which begin with a number.

In addition many blogs do not tag their stuff in a manner that newsblur understand, so we don’t get to train these.

It would be too much work to support regexes, both on the back end and on all of the various front-ends. Regex support is not that much of a benefit over having tag and title support. You just have to see a message first, which if you’re creating a filter then you would only need to filter messages you actually see.
