So with the login changes to the forums I have lost access to my old forum account. Which I do not really care about. Except for one problem. I am still getting forum emails from the account I can no longer access.
I figured this might come up. Whatās your old email and your new email. Feel free to DM me here and I can merge the accounts.
I do not have the ability to DM you. Assuming itās because my trust level is not high enough yet. Discourse forums requires atleast level 1 to send DMās.

Okay, so this is a first for me. I merged the accounts. You can see youāre now your original account here. When I merged it, I think it merged the emails, so you should be able to log in. I would log out, then log back in to make sure everything works as you expect. If you do that, you will do me a favor because then Iāll know how to do this for every other future user. Thatās why itās important you log out just to confirm that you can log back in as youād expect.
It did merge the two accounts correctly. From what I can tell everything is working correctly. Had no problems logging back in.

I seem to be stuck in a similar way. Didnāt realise the forum login was changing, and my emil addresses do not match. Iāve had to sign up for a new forum account to be able to post this, but Iād rather get the old one back. I cannot see a DM button, which Iām hoping will appear after making this first post on a new account.
Happy to merge accounts! Discourse makes it easy. I wonder if theres a way to allow 0-trust users to DM admin at least. Anyway, you can DM me your emails and Iāll merge them.

My other account email address is almost identical to this one, with an additional ā.meā before the TLD.
Done, account has been merged and you can now login with both emails.
