does the 30 day limit apply even for low volume blogs?

I subscribe to lots of blogs/feeds. Some are really busy - with hundreds of posts over a couple of days (I’m looking at you, HN) - however, some are really quiet - typically blogs from ‘real’ people. 

is there a period past which you won’t keep blog entries, even if unread? (I thought it might be 30 days…)

If there is , I get it for the feeds that are like a firehose, but wondered if a longer time could be allowed for lower volume blogs?

I wish this were possible but it would be extremely confusing. The 30 day limit is true for all feeds.
