Does newsblur need Adobe Flash?

I’m using chrome, and I have my plugins set to the “Click to Play” setting so that they are disabled by default. Chrome always tells me that it is blocking a plugin on the newsblur page. I haven’t added newsblur to the exceptions list since I don’t like videos to start playing when I’m in Story view.
So should I add newsblur to the exceptions list? Am I messing with Newsblur’s functionality by disabling plugins?

There is no plugin required for NewsBlur. I don’t even have Flash installed and everything works fine.
It is probably just embedded elements (videos) in the feed item list.
