If you’re set to dark mode (or auto that goes for dark), NewsBlur will start visibly in light mode and then do a quick fade to dark. This means that the first moment of loading NewsBlur is sort of like my screen being a flash bulb.
Is it possible to just start in dark mode before any rendering has happened at all?
Strongly agree with this, I’ve been thinking about this as well. Love the dark theme, but the switch from light to dark is a bit tiring on the eyes.
You’re right, I updated the web app so when you’re on Dark mode it’ll start that way.
Unfortunately on Auto mode it’ll do the switch since I don’t have that info on the server side.
