Custom filters, e.g. regex

A bit of an “out there” idea, but it’d be awesome if Newsblur included a feature to allow users create filters that parse incoming articles each time a feed is loaded or refreshed. I get that we have a kind of implementation of this today with the Training feature, but I’d be interested in something more explicit.

The UX pattern I have in mind is actually very much the Microsoft Outlook mail rules, which allow you to create specific pattern matches based on the options available (e.g. “If < subject > contains <“abc”> then < mark as read > and move to < archive > folder”).

But as a power user feature, and possibly easier to implement - says the guy who knows nothing about software development- the alternative would be to allow users to add a list of regex rules to parse article titles to determine their show/hide status.
