Just a comment - I found the new thumbnail pictures useless. They very rarely show anything relevant and just get in the way of the text, especially on smaller screens. I was glad to find that I could turn them off.

Yep, that’s why there’s that option. I think it really depends on the feeds you subscribe to. I love the thumbnails on my Hardware folder, which has Adafruit, hack-a-day, and Make Magazine in it. They’re kinda useless on my Comics folder.
