While the new layout is genuinely awesome especially in terms of speed, it does get a little bland and hard to distinguish after a while.
It would be nice, if there were more contrast in general but specifically more color in the new design. This is the same issue many people have with recent versions of OS X, while providing a clean and cohesive UI, it also becomes very undifferentiated (basically everything looks the same).
One idea would be to have the web UI look like the Android app, which I think has the best UI of all Newsblur apps.
