I want to see an organized list of headlines, like Google Reader, and choose my reading from there. I can’t get Newsblure to do that.
How do I do it?

The closest I’ve found is to use the “split” 3-column layout via the middle button between “Full” and “List” in the lower-right-corner of the UI. From there, I need to shift my gaze from the middle column to the right-most column based on what I’m after, but I have the ability to change folders (left column, shift-j/k), scan titles (middle column, j/k) and focus on content (right column, move eyes over 
The List view is what you’re looking for. At the bottom right.
