So I am confused. Payment never happened and on one page it shows my account should have been downgraded. But on another page it shows my subscription is still active. I have no records from paypal of the payment ever being attempted. Screen shot below. My newsblur username is Sleepylizard.
Hey, sorry for the confusion. Two things going on here: First, your premium expired on April 17. You’re in the 30-day grace period right now, which is why one screen still shows you as premium and another reflects the upcoming downgrade. That mismatch is my fault, the two pages should be reading the same source of truth.
Second, you should have gotten an email from NewsBlur when you slipped into the grace period, and you didn’t. There was a bug in the cooldown check that suppressed the grace-period email if you had received one within the last 360 days. You got grace emails in June 2025 (which means an earlier expiration also happened then), and that blocked the April 2026 one. I just pushed a fix so the cooldown is anchored to the current expiration cycle instead of a rolling year, and I manually sent you the grace-period email a moment ago so you have the renewal link.
On the payment side, I see one PayPal charge from 2021-06-13 for $36 and nothing since, but your premium has been getting extended each year regardless. No charge should have been attempted last week, so there’s nothing missing on PayPal’s end. If you want to keep premium, the renewal link in the email I just sent you is the cleanest path. If you’d rather not, you can just let it lapse and you’ll be downgraded automatically around May 17.

Thanks for the clarafication on what was going on. The paypal payment info saying there has been no payments since 2021 has been broken for years. I can provide the paypal reciepts if you want.
