Looks like the comments box (in the iPad app at least) treats a backslash as an escape character. In the attached image, I had to \ to get a single one to show up.

Get out of town. Those comment boxes have been live for a year and a half and it’s only just now being discovered that it escapes weirdly. Anyway, have you noticed this on the web or iOS only? I’ll see about fixing it, although I have a feeling it might be restricted to iOS.
Yep, looks like iOS only. Looking at the web interface shows “\m/”
