It’s great. Tried 2 other mega popular clients with a lot of automation, and end up back at Newsblur. They either did too much, or the automation gets list when the feed changes or just gets in the way. Newsblur is just right. With a good download manager like ADM even feeds that bury the mp3 and try to force you into streaming using someone’s proprietary player can be defeated as Newsblur gives you the feed address even when the site tries to obscure it (just highlight and copy) the ADM follows the link and finds the MP3 source, and downloads it neatly.
Newsblur handles rss and webpage style collections very well, and never gets in the way - no ads on the free version. I decided thus author is deserving support, so I bought the advanced version, but the free version was doing everything I needed.
