Android Tablet View

Is there a way to get a view similar to the one below on an Android Tablet?  

I do see issues (e.g., https://getsatisfaction.com/newsblur/topics/android_tablet_app-vek61) in the past that ask what I believe is a similar question but would there be any movement on this?

I love Newsblur (new to it) and really like the view below I can get on the website.  I wish I could figure out how to get something similar on the Android App.  Obviously I could just use a browser on the tablet and get the same view but was hoping the App would do it.

I would love, love, love to build this, but historically the total number of folks we have on Android devices with screens big enough to use it numbers in the low dozens. :(  I’ve been working the app’s architecture towards the possibility of building a split view for almost 2 years now, but the final push of work to get a stable implementation would still be a huge project.
