Android: Not syncing feeds, incorrect unread count

I used to love this app as a replacement for Google reader, but over the last couple updates it has become unusable: feeds don’t sync across devices, the unread post count is always wrong, and the mark as read button doesn’t fix it.

app version: 4.1.0
android version: 4.4.4
device: LGE Nexus 4 (MAKO)
memory: normal
speed: 40 in 226
premium: no

Are you by any chance using an SD card?

No SD card, this is on a Nexus 4 and on a Nexus 7, internal memory only.

I hope it’s clear by now that this is not due to the use of SD cards.

What’s your username so we can investigate? (And yes, it’s quite clear that this has nothing to do with the SD cards)
