That’s all handled on the backend. Are you able to add it on the web but not on Android? Try adding it on the web and let me know if that doesn’t work. Also, what’s the URL you’re adding?

I tried it on web. I got the an error about twitter connection. I understand now that I need to connect my twitter account to newsblur. Android app did not warn me about connection it just gave “Could not add feed” error.

URL I’m adding is “https://twitter.com/username”

Can I add twitter users without connecting my twitter account to my newsblur account? I don’t use twitter so I dont have an account to connect to

An alternative is to add “https://nitter.net/username”.
Nitter is an unofficial twitter frontend which provides RSS feeds for all Twitter accounts.

Nitter is a good idea but if you want to read Twitter accounts you’ll need to connect a Twitter account. You can just make a one-off twitter account for this purpose.

What do you mean? The advantage of Nitter is precisely being able to read Twitter accounts without needing a Twitter account or otherwise having to request the content from Twitter’s servers.

Nitter scrapes publicly available content directly from Twitter. Nitter is not an alternative social network like Mastodon.

I’m currently using Nitter, thanks for help.
