Very excited to try version 14.0.0 (com.newsblur). Unfortunately, after installing it on a Pixel 9 Pro, the app doesn’t launch upon clicking the icon. The app logo momentarily gets big then retracts, and the app never launches. Happy to help troubleshoot.

+1 to this, after installing it on the Pixel Pro 10 XL running Android 16. Similar issue, I updated newsblur from the app store and havent been able to open it since then. It just gets to the logo and then never launches. Easy to repro on my device
Okay, I’m gonna be taking a look at this thing as soon as possible. I’ll be honest, I didn’t test it on any pixel devices. I just used my Samsung S22 and a Samsung Galaxy tablet. I wonder if I’m gonna be able to get those crash logs. I’ll investigate later today.
I haven’t been prompted to send a crash log, but I just took a bug report manually. Where would you like it sent?
Send it to android@newsblur.com. I figured they would be sent automatically but I can’t find the in the play dev console.

Found the issue, it was due to an incompatible db schema update that needed an explicit cache wipe. I’ve bumped the DB schema version and it should now work on boot. I submitted the app (build 261) to app review and it should be out within the next 24 hours.

I think I have the same problem on Samsung M51 (Android 12). I tried cleaning the cache but that did not help, hopefully the update is available soon.
Okay, the update was published about 12 hours ago, so make sure you run the latest build version 261.
Confirming I got the new version last night and it’s working. So far, looks great.
I’ve got pure black mode coming up either today or tomorrow. And gray mode now matches iOS gray, which is a bit brighter, to serve as an alternative to pure black while still being a dark mode.
Got the update as well and app now launches.
