I’ve noticed several times over the past couple of weeks when I have the Android app open, then go into other apps for some time before returning to NewsBlur the app is frozen. When I tap on things nothing happens. A soft closing and reopening the app fixes it.
Anyone else notice this or am I alone?
I’ll try to figure out some reliable way to replicate this, but right now I just know it’s been happening seemingly at random.
I’m using the latest stable android on a Pixel 7.
Thanks!
I’ve heard a few other reports of this. It’s very hard to tell! I’m not sure what’s doing it. Try using the “Send feedback” main menu item, which includes the logs and may help in diagnosing the issue. But to honest, I don’t know why it’s happening and I’ve investigated it before. So we need to figure out a reproducible step to help make it happen. I’ll keep searching!

Sounds good. I’ll submit it next time, and if I get the time I’ll try to figure out how to reproduce it.
Not to piggyback, but the Android app (also on Pixel, P8Pro) almost never loads the correct number of stories from my feeds, and regularly needs a full cache/logout/reinstall cycle to solve the freezing problem.
I have tried reducing my saved stories to see if that’s causing lag. It would be great if there was an option not to load those in-app as I only reference them on the desktop.
This seems like a different discussion and I’d love to know more about it. Can you post this as a separate issue with as much detail as you can find, including screenshots would be extremely helpful, as I can then go into your account, check the folder/feed against what actually loaded.
