Android App - Built In Web Browser?

It would be nice if the Android app could use a built-in web browser for opening articles (similar to how the iOS app has an internal browser) but can also send to the default system browser. The WebView Widget might be a good place to start for this (http://developer.android.com/referenc…).

Switching back and forth between NewsBlur and the system browser on Android is quite annoying so being able to view webpages inline would be a welcome change.

Thanks, really loving NewsBlur despite the growing pains

yeah we definately need it … it works flawlessly in feed reader, press mobile app and many, many others… opening new browser windows everytime is not only waste of time but also of resources…

The Android app already uses exactly the WebView library you linked. Is it not behaving in some way you expect from the documentation?

I agree, we should have a built-in web browser. App switching to Chrome is not ideal.

ok maybe other way… if you hit news title what newsblur does? it opens new browser window aka another application… in feedly and press reader it doesn’t open new window it load full web view inside feedly app… it’s much more faster…
