Almost all new feeds can't be added anymore

Hey Samuel,

great tool for long time. However now I increasingly have problems to add new feeds, especially clearly valid ones.

I tried this thing here: Posts | Belgian Waffle Connoisseur. Photographer. Coder. | Halans Afterhours

I keep getting the “There was a problem trying to add this site. Please try a different URL.” error.

Judging by the number of similar posts in the forum currently there seems to be something at odds at scale.

I was just about to ask about a different feed that I couldn’t add at Algorithm Zero - BRIAN KEENE (wondering if maybe the need for a query parameter was throwing it off or something), but I guess it’s a more general problem.

OK, to make things weirder, it apparently added that feed after giving me the “There was a problem trying to add this site” error message, so in my case it worked, but I couldn’t tell that it worked until it refreshed the feed…

I’m also having trouble adding new feeds. I have confirmed that the problem is not the feed. I successfully added it to another RSS reader. NewsBlur gives the error “Internal Server Error (500)”

This is an old NewsBlur bug in which it looks like it doesn’t add the feed when it actually does. But there’s a real problem occurring now in which you cannot add some feeds. NewsBlur specifically cites a 500 Internal Server Error.
