Adding tags and swapping stories malfunctions on Android

Hi!

On android there’s 2 problems since the last update, one with saving stories and tags: it seems not possible anymore to attribute an existing tags to a story saved, it’s only possible on the web (and need to be unsaved first, then re-saved otherwise it goes on “highlight”)

The other problem is with display: when swapping stories if I’m swapping forward, then one story back and then forward, the first story forward is ok, the second one is empty but stories after are ok.
If I’m swapping forward, then one story back and then continue to swap back, all stories after the first one are empty.

Don’t know if the 2 problems are link but they appeared at the same time for me.

@Guybrush Are you on 13.10.0 or 13.9.0?
Asking because 13.10.0 is partially rolled out to 30% of users as of today

@Guybrush I found the issue for the story content loading.
On adding tags - I do see the Add Tag button on saved stories and I can add new tags. Am I looking in the wrong place?

That was it, for me the “add tags” didn’t work until now. Don’t know if you did something but both problems seems fixed now, thanks!

@Guybrush The content issue requires a new app release which I’ll prepare later today. There were no changes made remotely to the apps.

Ok, I suppose the fact that I clear data, uninstall and reinstall to see if it fixes the counter for stories, fixes this instead?

@Guybrush That sounds unrelated. You were seeing an issue with the counters on the home page?

Sadly the problem re-appear with the 13.10.0 + feeds don’t display content the first time as mention in another thread :confused:
(Even after clear cache/erase date/re-unstall)

@Guybrush There are two problems that I’m looking into.
The first one is the story content when swiping between stories - this one is fixed but not released yet.
The second one is that feed stories sometimes do not load the first time - this one I’m just picking up to investigate.

There have been major changes under the hood, so thanks for bearing with us while we rewrite things

Tags problem cames back too, not possible to add or change a tag, but it’s possible to delete one…

I feel my messages may have be taken as rude, it’s not my intention if that the case, i’m not use to speak/write in english but I try to improve (and it’s fucking slow)

You didn’t sound rude so no worries.

Android 13.11.0 is pending Play Store review and should be release soon.
Let me know if there are old/new problems once you get this one.

Little update:
I’m on 13.11.1, display problems are fixed for now (it was already the case with the 13.11.0) but the tags are still bugging for me.

@Guybrush could you share a screenshot of the buggy tags?

On the first screenshot I choose one tag (A lire).
On the second screenshot after the save, the tag is not there.

I tried one or multiple tags, go back, retried, unsave, stop the app, delete cache, restart phone, even tried 4G or wifi just in case…

Found the issue and it will be pushed out this week.

With the last update (13.11.2) tags can be saved in the app \o/
Also they doesn’t appear right away once saved, I have to go back and re-open the story to see the tags but at least it works now!
