Add "Recommended Blurblog" to Dashboard

I wasn’t expecting to, but because my account auto-followed Samuel’s blugblog when the social feature rolled out, I’ve read a few really interesting posts Samuel shared out.

I think it would be great to highlight top blurblog users above or below the “Recommended Site” on the dashboard. I don’t know how I would even start to find other users who might be sharing interesting posts right now…

Just to let you know where I am on this, I follow about as many people as I can, since I want to know what’s being shared. Well, I got about 100 stories a day and try to read as many as I can, and they are almost entirely this side of fascinating.

I think more than just following people, I think pools are the next big feature, and that’s effectively a shared blurblog. I was thinking of creating a dozen-or-so categories that you share a story to, but that’s quite a bit of work for the sharer. It might get a bit of use, but then it might just go largely unused.

But I think this is a great idea. I’ll keep it in mind as I try to figure out ways to get more people following more people.

Sounds good. Right now, I just don’t know how I’d find other people worth following.
