Good idea on the Daily Briefing! However, would it be possible, for anyone who doesn’t want to see it or use it, to include a checkmark box in the “Preferences-Special Folders” area (like Show Global Shared Stories & Show Infrequent Site Stories) so the folder name will not be shown in the main Newsblur screen if one chooses to not show or use Daily Briefing?
I was referring to not showing this item in the menu.
Also, after I click either Enable or Disable and then Save for the daily briefing, my choice is not saved. Upon restart of Newsblur I still show both options as unselected.
Would love the ability to sort those static options to the bottom of the list (I personally would leave All Site Stories at the top and nothing else). Now that a few new options have been added (Discover, Daily Briefing), and the fact they don’t scroll with the feed list, they do command a good amount of screen real estate. Especially noticeable on ultra wide monitors, I’d love more of my feeds visible.
Okay, I thought about your request for the last couple of weeks, and I finally did something about it. Funny how a request like this can be sticky. Well, so now the folders are no longer sticky, but other folders are. I think you’ll find it a big improvement, as it gives you a lot more usable space while still preserving what I wanted to preserve, which was a link to the NewsBlur dashboard and a link to all site stories.
