Account Security

I recently received an email from my bank informing me that one of my cards may have been compromised. Since I’ve already largely discontinued using this card, and NewsBlur is one of the few websites I use that still has this card’s information, I’d appreciate if NewsBlur could make sure there haven’t been any security breaches, beef up its security, and clarify how it keeps users’ information secure. For example, does NewsBlur use encryption? Since NewsBlur keeps my card information, I would like to feel completely secure using this site. Thank you.

I don’t actually keep your card information. Everything is handled through stripe.com. Your card never touches my servers. So you can rest assured that the compromise never had anything to do with NewsBlur. There are undoubtedly other ways to steal credit card numbers, I’m afraid.

Thank you for the clarification! I appreciate it.
