There was a brief outage today, which fine, but the error page showed a link to an empty twitter account. I assume this is because you’ve left twitter, which good, but basically it’s a stale link. I’m not sure if there’s anywhere new for it to go on bsky or mastodon or a status page or something, but if not, might as well remove it entirely

Why is it a stale link? I post on X regularly with updates. And I also post on Mastodon. I just didn’t post anything for todays downtime because I’m at a team retreat and had to handle the downtime quickly.
Turns out a fuse was tripped on a server that is serving the analytics stack and for whatever reason, I haven’t built in redundancy yet to that stack.
Huh. When I clicked it it said “@NewsBlur hasn’t posted” and it still does. Ahh okay it turns out that’s just what Twitter does if you’re logged out - it tells you there’s no content there to bother with might as well just close your tab no reason to make an account or log in. That’s good strategy there. But if I log in I can see some tweets, so never mind.
And to be clear it was a short outage, and I’m not demanding an update or explanation or anything - it’s fine. I did click the link because it was there is all.
