Would you like too see the Android App on Amazon App Store?

I was wondering if there is any interest in releasing the Android app on Amazon App Store? I spoke with Samuel on Twitter and asked if I could start a poll. So lets voice your opinion! Would you like too see the Android App on Amazon App Store?

I’ve given up on the Amazon app store. It was, at the time, a major device-lagger, and the app selection isn’t that awesome. Their free-app-of-the-day has long-since been wishing to even be called a gimmick since the offered app has been crap for so long, and that whole concept is very detrimental to developers anyway.

Plus, the week-long review process makes it more of a PITA for app developers.

Wow really, a week-long process to add an app? Hence the reason the offering is so bad. But it might get better is Samuel is releasing his app

I would love to be able to use it on my Kindle Fire, so the Amazon AppStore would be great.

Not really. The amazon appstore is a bloated, resource-heavy app and any apps distributed via it stop working the minute you uninstall it. Just provide an APK via your own means and one via the GOOG market for those who want it that way.

That’s a great suggestion about the APK.

The .apk is available for download on f-droid.org:
https://f-droid.org/repository/browse…
F-Droid is a less a store and more a repository for open-source apps.

Sadly, since its community-driven, it takes a while until new version are released there, but currently NewsBlur is up to date.

I also think the .apk should be downloadable directly through newsblur.com though.
