I go through the mechanics of adding a website…the little blue dot bounces as the “adding” button goes…then when it is done, the web site does not appear in the side bar. No warning either, saying that there is aproblem with the feed, etc. What I am doing wrong?

Do you have “Hide sites with no unread stories” turned on? It’s quite likely that the site *is* being added, but there are no unread stories, so you never see it.
