I am new to newsblur, and I have set my account to “sync” with google. What will happen when Google Reader retires. I know that with both Newsvibe and Feedly, I will have everything housed there and the transition will be seemless. I hate those platforms though and would rather not use them. Do I have the same guarenttee of seemlessness with NewsBlur?

There is no sync with google reader, it’s a one-time import.
When reader dies nothing will change as NewsBlur is completely sperate.
Feedly on the other hand is just a frontend to reader, so will die with reader.
Yup, NewsBlur is 100% independent. That Reader sync is a one-time fetch.
