Some newspapers like SPIEGEL.de, ZEIT.de etc. shorten their feeds so people will have to click their page to see the full content. Is there a way to make NewsBlur do that automatically? Some feed fetchers can do it.

Yep, that’s what the Text view is all about. You can use “shift+enter” to enter into the Text view temporarily (switching back to your default view when you switch to the next story), or just select it as the default view for a feed/folder.
