If I am in a feed and use the mark all read button at the top of the window, the app briefly goes to the list of feeds, which is expected, but then opens up a different feed, perhaps the next one in the list of all feed, but generally with no unread items. I then have to close that feed view to go back to the list of feeds

This is new behavior but it mirrors that of the web. Marking as read now takes you to the next unread feed. You can turn it off in Preferences.
