Starting over after external edit of OPML file

I have a large number of subscriptions in NewsBlur that I want to get rid of, and I have an equally large number of subscriptions in an OPML file that I want to import.

I know how to import the OPML, but what is an efficient way to either have the OPML upload overwrite/wipe the existing subscriptions completely or to batch delete all existing subscriptions before uploading the OPML?

If you want to overwrite your subscriptions, you’ll first have to delete them all (Manage > Account > Empty), which will email you a backup of your existing OPML. You can then upload a new OPML without merging it with your existing subscriptios.
