Some of my feeds don't get updated

If I read all entries of some feeds and visit Newsblur the next day there are no new entries for these feeds. But if I click on “Parse this RSS/XML feed” in the settings of a feed then new entries appear.

My username is ‘daho’ and an example feed is http://www.reddit.com/r/socialskills/…

Any idea what’s going on?

Right-cick on the feed and go to Statistics to see how often the feed is fetched. That might give you some idea of why it’s not fetching new stories.

The only relevant information that I can see is the log which says “2013-02-14 19:24:50 OK (200)” was the last time the feed got updated.

The question I have is why wasn’t there an update since that date?

I’ve clicked on “Insta-fetch stories” and there were new entries.

The NewsBlur URL of the feed is http://newsblur.com/site/1144332/soci…

I’m seeing this with:
http://gregegan.customer.netspace.net…
Reeder sees newer entries in this feed, but Newsblur does not. I’ve tried insta-fetch and also “Parse this RSS/XML feed.” Nothing works. Older entries are shown.

This feed too:
http://rss.mnginteractive.com/live/sa…
Reader is showing new items in the feed, Newsblur is not, even after I “insta-fetch” stories.

I see this fairly regularly with several different webcomics. There will be no update for a week or two and then the entire backlog will show up at once.

Other feeds I am seeing this with:
http://davidbrin.blogspot.com/feeds/p…
(which Newsblur keeps turning into:)
http://feeds.feedburner.com/blogspot/…
(if I try resetting the feed, I get "there was a problem fetching the feed from this URL.)

http://zunguzungu.wordpress.com/feed/

Again, Reader/Reeder handles all these feeds with no problems.

OK, I managed to fix the David Brin feed, finally, by copying/pasting the URL directly from Reader. I still can’t get Greg Egan or zunguzungu working no matter what.
