That’s a nice chunk of real estate sitting there. Maybe one or more people could own the feed or suggest sites to be recommended?

oh sure, and one appeared today after going dark for 2 weeks.
I keep them at one every other week or so. And I did build a Recommend This Site feature. Right-click on a site and you can add your site to the moderation queue.
I have much bigger plans for it, but that’ll have to wait for a v2 of Social (part of the Intelligence push next year).
