I have the same problem. The problem (the article panel turns blank when viewing ProPublic) was reported couple times in the past, got fixed (or fixed themselves somehow) and is now coming back. I would very much appreciate a solution.

I personally don’t think that it is related to the insecure content through HTTPS issue.
