Since Chrome has been updated to version 58 the processor load goes up if a video is mere selected let alone played. An examination of the website shows a thousands of “Uncaught TypeErrors”. Nothin 
g of this sort happens if the video is directly played on Youtube (and not in the space of Newsblur). Tested in Firefox and Vivaldi, no such thing happens.
