I am experiencing “There was a problem trying to add this site. Please try a different URL.” when trying to add a new feed but it passes the w3.org validator (with warnings, granted).
Is there a way I can find out why newsblur is upset?

Not yet, but I can find out easily enough. One of my plans is to change how error reporting is conducted for sites, so you can see exactly why they are failing.
