Playing embedded video in the in-app browser yields blank screen

In NewsBlur on iOS:

  1. Open a post containing an embedded video in the app’s browser
  2. Tap on the video to begin playback
  3. Video begins to load
  4. The page “crashes” and all I see is a blank page inside the app’s browser interface
