One-click opening source on Android

Is there a way/setting to go directly to the source webpage when clicking on the headline, skipping the preview on Android?

Ahh, you want the equivalent of the Story view from the web but on Android?

Not necessarily Story View. A number of my sources are behind paywall, so I think something like a Story view would not work. I’d like to be able to go to the original web page with a single click. Currently, I have to click on the headline. Then Newsblur opens the story within Newsblur. This works great for non-paywalled sites. But for paywalled ones, I have to click/touch on the headline again, and then it opens the story in the system browser. I’d like to go directly to the system browser on step one.

@railshot If you go to your Preferences and then pick the default browser to be the system browser, it will bypass the in app browser and open your device default browser. Would that be helpful?

I tried switching to system default, and to chrome, specifically. In either case it tries to open an in-app preview first.

@railshot Could you post a short screen recording of this behavior?

@andrei if you look below - I would click on a headline (Image 1); it would attempt to open it, but give an error “Sorry, the story’s text could not be extracted”(Image 2); if I click on the headline at this screen, it would take me to the system browser (Image 3). Since I am already logged in to wsj.com there, it has no trouble displaying the article. I would like to skip step 2 and go directly to 3.

@samuelclay what do you think about this request?
