NewsBlur do not update [Fastmail Blog](https://www.fastmail.com/blog/feed.xml)
last shown update is from august but it has actually been updated now in December.

the updates shows in other RSS programs so I reckon it is a Newsblur problem

Ok that is a weird one. It’s because they have a chronological RSS feed with 865 stories. NewsBlur cuts it off and only uses the most recent 100 stories, but in this case, that means that some stories aren’t being processed.

On my local dev install, that means only stories from 2001 to 2005 are being shown. How August 2024 is showing up on the web is beyond me, but I suspect they made a mistake with their RSS feed on that date and that’s why.

Email them to let them know that in August of this year, they accidentally removed limits on their RSS feed and are publishing every story they ever published on their blog, which is probably not what they intended.

Ironically, one of the new posts is about how they just rebuilt their blog 🙃

Is anyone else seeing new stories in the feed? I’m not yet, and I still see lots of errors in the stats: [NewsBlur](https://newsblur.com/rss_feeds/statistics_embedded/7387209)

Hypothetically, if a feed were long enough, would it hit one of Newsblur’s ingest timeouts before the entire feed can be loaded in order to truncate it down to the first 100 items?

I can imagine for older static sites where you can’t really implement paging, there are probably a handful of super long full-text content feeds around the web.

For those still not seeing updated posts, you should delete your existing feed and re-add it. They changed the URL a few months ago and didn’t redirect properly. The new one is:
