New account - not receiving emails

Hi - I just created a new account to try newsblur out, I’m specifically interested in the newsletter functionality. The problem is newsblur does not seem to display any emails I send to my personal address. No newsletter signup messages, no direct emails to the address, and nor has the gmail messaging forwarding verification message arrived. I’ve been trying for about a week, so that’s rules out any transient latency issues. Have I done something wrong with my account perhaps.
