I have already bought lifetime membership with Trillian for my messenger / IM client needs and would gladly consider a lifetime membership option for Newsblur. Perhaps something which is equivalent to 3 to 5 years subscription in price?

Samuel considered this some time back but given that the costs of running the service are ongoing it made sense to also keep it as a subscription service.

Mmm, I guess companies like Trillian et al who provide software don’t have high web service costs ongoing.
Perhaps in future Sam could consider a slightly discounted 5 year membership, giving him a boost but not locking into supporting a client base who will leech in the long tale.
