Using latest iPhone Unread, App Store version on iOS 9.1, non jailbreak. I’m unable to add newsblur. It return with a web base page and says error: invalid_client_id. Deleted Unread and install to try again and same error message.
Emailed them, will hopefully hear back soon.
I have also emailed and tweet them as well. Thank you for your response.
For the past year, I haven’t been able to get Newsblur to work on Unread properly either. Even after it allows me to add the service, it only loads up like 50 articles. I’ve tweeted at them multiple times, but no bug fix.
I recommend Reeder if you want to use a 3rd party app. The recently released Reeder 3 is pretty great, it gives the user more control over the UI and UX.
I really like Unread UI. Love the gesture base navigation and how customisable everything is, especially the font. And having multiple theme added to the user experience. Too bad that it all went downhill after Supertop purchase it. I don’t get why Supertop spent money buying the app from Sinclair and then dropped it totally, not even supporting existing users. It’s sad.
And one of the reasons I went and supported Newsblur is that Sam listened and participated to help his customers!
This is now fixed after I tweeted at them this morning. Thanks for your help everybody!
um, not exactly, sir. The error is gone, for sure and I now get a “do you want to Authorise Unread to access Newsblue”. After clicking Authorise, it took me back to the main screen and, nothing happens. No accounts added.
I have also deleted Unread and reinstalled, to no avail.
IT’S WORKING NOW! All is well!
I don’t want to create a new conversation but wondering how can I subscribed to the newsblur Global Shared Stories in Unread?
After using Newsblur iOS app for a while, I’m getting rather fond of it!
Oh, I don’t think Unread supports blurblogs. No third-party client does. That’s why NewsBlur has its own official clients. Nobody else will take care of NewsBlur’s unique features but me.
This list includes: blurblogs, intelligence training, saved story tags, story changes/diffs, search, fast sync of read/unreads on mobile, stats, interactions and activity notifications, and feed management (muting, renaming, moving).
Sure, I understand those unique features is what make NewsBlur app unique.
I thought that the Global Shared Stories is just a RSS feed. Looks like it’s not.
Without being condescending, are you aware that the app only allows 50 articles until you pay via in-app purchase?
