iOS app: Black bar when swiping back to home screen

When I swipe back to the Home Screen after finishing a feed, it’s covered with a black bar that looks really out of place.

Steps to reproduce:

Tap on a feed.
Read all the items in it.
Swipe from the left edge of the screen to go back

iPhone 13 mini, iOS 15.7, NewsBlur 12.0.1

It might be that the phone is in dark mode but the app is in light mode.

I also noticed these text fields are dark instead of light.
