I have set all of my friend’s blurblogs to “thumbs up” (green) for the entire site. However, when they share articles by using the bookmarklet, the intelligence trainer doesn’t seem to evaluate it and it ends up being neutral (yellow).

Could this be related http://getsatisfaction.com/newsblur/t… ? it’s another problem affecting shares from the bookmarklet.
Looks like its working fine for me. Intelligence is applied on view, not on save, so if you have a green/focus on the entire publisher/blurblog, then all stories should be green.
Spoke too soon. Found the bug and fixed it. Publisher greens will still show through even if the story has no associated feed. Thanks!
